Michigan spinoff Arbor Networks expands building and workforce in Ann Arbor

Arbor Networks, a University of Michigan spinoff company now headquartered in Massachusetts, is expanding rapidly in Ann Arbor, according to a report from Concentrate Media. The IT security company has hired 30 people over the last year and is looking to add an additional 25 employees.

The Ann Arbor facility, located at 2727 South State Street, just north of Eisenhower Parkway, has undergone an $8.7 million renovation to make room for the new employees. The office grew by 10,000 square feet of new office space and added an additional 1,200 square feet of lab and data center space.

Concentrate reports that Kris Lamb, vice president of engineering at Arbor Networks, said the company hopes to grow its Ann Arbor office to 140-150 employees within the next year. There are currently about 100 Arbor Networks employees in Ann Arbor, and an additional 200 split between Atlanta and Chelmsford, Mass.

Arbor Networks also announced recently that they will move their headquarters from Chelmsford to nearby Burlington, Mass.
