Kalyan Handique is the president and CEO of DeNovo Sciences, the 2011 grand prize winner of the Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Kalyan co-founded HandyLab in 2000. The company was acquired by Becton, Dickinson and Co. in 2009.
In my conversation with Kalyan, he describes the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem, the importance of leadership in early-stage companies, and his passion for making a change in the world.
