Two Ann Arbor-based firms have been chosen by the Aerotropolis Development Corporation to help strengthen development efforts near transportation assets within Washtenaw and Wayne counties, according to Crain's Detroit.
The firms chosen were Carlisle/Wortman Associates and Fontaine Urban Design LLC, along with three other Southeast Michigan-based planning firms, Crain's reported.
A news release from Carlisle/Wortman said the ADC is a public-private economic development agency and is able to work with businesses who would like to locate near Interstate 94 and Interstate 275, between Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Willow Run Airport.
Crain's reported each firm will receive $35,000 to begin the project and range from $80 to $100 an hour.
