What do you get when you combine LinkedIn, Facebook and Pinterest?
At least that's what founders Moses Lee, David Jsa and Jerry Wang hope.
Lee, a University of Michigan instructor, Jsa and Wang, both U-M alumnus, founded the newly-launched professional networking website, which allows job seekers to connect with prospective employers via virtual portfolios.
Users can supplement the traditional resume with scholarly papers, artistic videos and photos of themselves in action.
Employers seeking new hires can also post videos and photos and comment on other user posts. Job seekers must have a college email account to participate.
“Instead of sending a stale, black-and-white resume, Seelio lets you bring yourself to life and present yourself in a more holistic way,” said Lee.
The website was soft-launched exclusively to U-M students in January. Since then, at least 40 students and recent grads found employment or internships, according to the school.
